Thursday Short Story Slam Week 29: Dramas and Freedom
Under the trees
in the morning fog,
the sunshine leaks
through Jade green oaks,
Summer heat waning.
#
Cold air warms up
as more cars desert its drive way
with piercing headlights,
School doors open wide welcoming students,
bells ringing.
#
Daycare centers have rooms
filled with toddlers, or preschoolers,
the PBS children's program is on,
music aloud,
Kids and teachers talking.
#
City park playground,
Mothers pace around the concrete
path, babies in strollers,
have fun see wild ducks
swimming.
I'm grateful for this award,
in the morning fog,
the sunshine leaks
through Jade green oaks,
Summer heat waning.
